"In ancient times sixty beautiful girls, including Rohini, all of them came to Kashi. She reached the Varuna-Ganga Sangam and established a Shiva Linga named Nakshatraeshwar and started worshiping Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva appeared before him and asked, tell me, what is your wish. Lord Shiva granted a boon that their wishes would be fulfilled and also told that they would reside above Chandralok.
