Vriddhakaleshvara

In Linga Purana, his name has been given as Kaleshwar, but in Kashi Khand these two names have come Kaleshwar and Vriddhakaleshwar. The reason for this will be explained in detail in the chapter titled "Relocation of Pilgrimages". Here it is sufficient to say as an indication that when the first temple of Kaleshwar located in Daranagar was broken, then it was re-established in Dandapani Gali (M. No. K. 31/49). Later, the first temple of Kaleshwar was built again, then to clearly mention these days, its name was called Vriddhakaleshwar. This is also a very important Shiva Linga and almost 25 nearby Shivlings were re-established in its present circle. Describing the darshan worship of Vriddhakaleshwar, it has been said in the Kashi section that by worshiping him all wishes are fulfilled and there is no disease, sorrow, poverty etc.
