Vasukisvara
About
According to Kashi Khand Chapter 66, Lord Kartikeya was describing the lingas found in all four directions of the Jyeshtheshwar Linga. On the south side of jyeshtheshwar linga is Vasukishwar Linga. According to Kashi Khand, bathing in Vasuki Kund and worshiping Vasukishwar Linga and donating food has special significance. Such devotees do not have the fear of snake defects. Devotees must worship Vasukishwar Linga on the auspicious festival of Nag Panchami. In this temple, there is a vigraha of Vasuki Nagaraj. Vasuki is a giant snake that was used by devas and asuras as a rope in the churning of the sea to get nectar. It is believed that vasuki kund was formed by sweat emanating from the body of Vasuki Nagaraj. But at present, this pond has disappeared. It is said that a river called Vasuki flows under the ground of this complex. Location:- Sindhia Ghat is also visible outside the house near the tap next to the Brihaspatisvara temple in front of the Atmavireshwar temple.
