According to the story mentioned in Kashi Khand, Sena Vinayak of Shri Ganesha is one of the fifty-six Vinayaks located in Varanasi, which is located near Sankatha Ghat in Varanasi. It is believed that due to the blessings of Sena Vinayak, the Pandavas got the army for the war and they won the war. Since then this form of Lord Ganesha located here is known as Sena Vinayak and devotees worship him as the god of victory. The Sena Vinayak Temple remains open throughout the day for devotees to visit and worship.
