Before 1931 AD, the Jain Ghat of Varanasi become part of Vaccharaja Ghat. Later Jain community made a 'pucca' ghat and named it as Jain Ghat. Because this ghat is the only one belonging to the Jain cult in Varanasi, it is often called "Jain Ghat", although its specific name is "Bachraj Ghat".
