The ancient temple of Bandi Devi is situated on the world famous Dashashwamedh Ghat of Varanasi. Bandi Devi is considered to be the goddess of Patal Lok. The only temple of Goddess in the whole world is in Kashi only. It is believed that by locking here, the locked locks of luck are opened by the grace of Mata Rani. Not only this, the Goddess also gives freedom from the hassle of court cases and lawsuits. This is the reason why devotees from all over the country come here for darshan during Navratri and offer lock and key to the Mother Goddess.
