During Vasantik Navratri, Nav Gauri is worshipped in a number of different guises. In Kashi, Mukhnirmalika Gauri is honoured on the first day of Vasantik Navratri. Her temple is located inside the Gai Ghat Hanuman temple. Goddess Gauri is said to have travelled with Mahadev when she lived in Kashi in order to bestow success and prosperity on the people of Varanasi. The best time to worship is between the hours of 6 am and 10 am and 6 pm and 8 pm. Both morning and evening are designated for aarti.
