About
According to the legend described in the Kashi Khand, out of the fifty-six Vinayakas located in Varanasi, Shri Ganesha's Harishchandra Vinayak form is included in the Ekadash Vinayak Yatra, which is located near the Sankatha Devi Temple at the Sankatha Ghat in Varanasi. This Vinayaka is named after a great Indian king Harishchandra, because of his nature of always following the path of truth by the king, he is also known as "Truthful Harishchandra". According to belief, the devotees who worship here are blessed with the power to choose the path of truth. Devotees can visit the Harishchandra Vinayak Temple from 05:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
