Shri Prachand Narsimha

About

Prachand Narsimha is one of Lord Vishnu's 18 avatars that are said to be present in Kashi, according to a legend found in Kashi Khand. Lord Vishnu has taken the form of Prachand Narsimha, who has a human head and a half-lion body. Lord Vishnu adopted this form in order to put a stop to religious discrimination on earth and to restore the value of religion there. Narsimha is referred to as the Guardian or the Protector because he shields his followers from all misdeeds. The temple is open every day from 6 a.m. to noon and from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Morning and nighttime Aarties are held.
