Lord Vishnu is said to appear at Kashi in 18 different forms, Shwet Madhav being one of them, according to the legend described in Kashi Khand. In chapter 61 of the Kashi Khand, Lord Vishnu declared, If a devotee worships me in the form of Shwet Madhav situated close to the goddess Vishalakshi Gauri, I convert my form into Shwetdweepeshwar. The temple is accessible every day from 7:00 A.M. to 12:00 Midnight and from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Morning and nighttime Aarties are held.
