Saptavarna Vinayaka/Jau Vinayak Temple

Saptavarna Vinayaka. After a little walk along the Ghat close to the cremation ground, in the Manikarnika lane is the temple containing image of Saptavarna Vinayaka, locally called Java Vinayaka. The barley-scattering ritual which starts from the shrine of Java Vinayaka (Java means barley), at the confluence of the Varuna river continued up to this temple where pilgrims throw the rest of them barely as a symbolic gesture of a closing ceremony.
