This temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and is built in typical Nagara style. It has a pond of dark water inside its premises which is said to have been connected to the river Ganga for some years. The act of Lord Vishnu sitting in the sea on a coiled up Shesh Nath is recreated in this ‘kund’ or pond every year. There is a "Durga Kund" on one side of this grand temple made of red stones. This pool was later converted into a fountain by the municipality, which has lost its original beauty.
