Dashashwamedh is a famous place on the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi, which has religious and historical importance. According to Kashikhand, Lord Shiva came to Kashi and performed ten Ashwamedha Yagya here. Ganga Aarti is held every day in the evening. Several priests perform this ritual by taking a lamp and moving it up and down to the rhythmic tune of hymns.
