On the basis of a saga described in the Kashi Khand, Lord Ganesha's Avimukt Vinayaka form is included in the Ashta Pradhan Vinayaka Yatra. The idol of Lord Avimukta Vinayak is situated at two places. It is said that the original Avimukta Vinayak idol has now disappeared from here. Now the statue of Avimukt Vinayak is installed at two places. One statue is located on the wall at Gyanvapi mosque and the other is located next to Gauri and Vishnu in the premises of Vishweshwar (Vishwanath) temple. According to Puranas, Avimukt Vinayak removes all the troubles from the life of his devotees who live in Avimukt Kshetra. Location of the temple- Devotees can reach Gyanvapi by rickshaw and walk till here. Best Time To Worship :- This temple remains open for worship throughout the day. Devotees can have darshan of the Lord here but there may be situations when worship process may not be allowed here.
