Dhrishneshwar Linga is self-manifested. His journey takes place in the twelve Jyotirlingas of Kashi. His place in India is in Ellora Maharashtra. But visiting Kashi's Jyotirlinga more than twelve Jyotirlingas gives ten times more merit. It is written that their place in Kashi is behind the temple of Kamakhya Devi, on the parikrama side.
