Uttararkaditya Temple

There is a pilgrimage near the northern border of Varanasi city, whose present name is Bakaria Kund. Its old names are Uttararkund and Barkarikund, where was the temple of Uttarakkak, which was destroyed in the beginning of the Muslim rule and could not be rebuilt. Thus the idol of Uttarakam is lost. Only the place is worshipped. According to Kashi Khand, there is a ritual to visit here on the Sunday of the month of Pausha. Presently its position is on Alaipur Bakaria Kund.
