According to the legend described in the Kashi Khand, out of the fifty-six Vinayakas located in Varanasi, Shri Ganesh's Bindu Vinayak form is included in the Ekadash Vinayak Yatra. Before installing the statue, the statue of Bindu Vinayak was installed in the back part of the temple and started worshiping it. Hence this statue became famous by the name Bindu Vinayak. The temple remains open from 04.00 am to 12.00 noon and from 04.00 pm to 10.00 pm for the devotees to visit and worship.
