Dakshayinishwar Linga is famous by the name Satishwar. Thousands of years ago, Bramhadeva did severe penance for Lord Shiva, pleased Lord Shiva appeared before Bramhadeva and asked for a boon. Brahmadev expressed his wish that Lord Shiva should be born in our place as a son and Mother Parvati should be born as the daughter of Daksha Prajapati. Hearing this, Lord Shiva said Amen. Lord Shiva appeared as a newborn baby from the head of Bramhadeva. Brahmadev named the newborn baby Rudra. Brahmadev was very happy with this sequence of events that now Lord Shiva will reside at his place. Both of them will play, feed, etc. together, that is, exactly like the one who loves, caress and caresses his child. Here Lord Shiva appeared in the house of Brahmadev in the name of Rudra while Mother Parvati took birth in the form of a girl at the place of Daksha Prajapati. When Sati became eligible for marriage, she came to Kashi in the desire of getting a handsome husband and started worshiping Lord Shiva there. One day a linga appeared in front of him and Lord Shiva's voice came from inside that linga. Lord Shiva told Sati that Sati's wish would be fulfilled very soon and there was no need for more austerity and worship. This linga that appeared before Sati was named Satishwar. If anyone worships Chiranjeev and good luck and worships Satishwar with full devotion, he will definitely get a suitable bride and groom. Apart from this, the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled by worshiping this Linga.
