In Kashi Khand Adhyay 68, Lord Kartikeya has described various important lingas. Father Maheshwar is a self-manifested (self-manifested) linga that manifested itself in Kashi along with many pilgrimages. Presently this is not a pilgrimage. It is mentioned in Kashi Khand that if someone worships father Maheshwar with devotion, then his 20 generations will be saved. It is believed that this Shiva Linga is very powerful. It can be seen only through a big hole in the ground. Elders believe that this is a powerful Shivling, so it is advised to have darshan only from a distance. This Linga is situated at a depth of 30 feet below the ground. This Linga is worshiped only on a few selected days. Although darshan can be done through the hole throughout the year. According to pundits, on all Mondays of Shravan, Shivratri, Rangbhari Ekadashi and some other Ekadashi, on the special days of worship, you can reach on time and get darshan from inside.
