Shri Adi Keshav

About

The name ""Keshav"" is a form of Lord Vishnu, and Adi means ""Origin"" in Sanskrit. This temple is one of Kashi's historic temples. It is regarded as one of Varanasi's oldest temples and was presumably Lord Vishnu's first shrine in Kashi. Adi Keshav - Sangameshwar Linga, a four-faced Linga that is thought to have been created by Adi Keshav, is also established at this temple. It is said that those who worship Lord Vishnu in his Adi Keshav form are liberated from all suffering and experience success and happiness in all aspects of life. Temple is accessible for worship from six in the morning until noon and from four in the afternoon until ten in the evening. The schedule is negotiable.
