About

Trilochneshwar Linga is described as Trivishtabha Linga in Kashi Khand. Many years ago there was a confluence of Yamuna, Saraswati, Narmada towards the south of Trilochan. It is believed that these three rivers themselves used to anoint the Trilochan Linga. Kashi Khand-Chapter-75 Among all the Shivlings located in Kashi, Omkareshwar Linga has the main importance, while Trilochan Darshan has a lot of prominence. Trilochan Linga is a self-manifested Linga. There is a description in Kashi Khand that this linga snake has appeared after penetrating the Hades. All sins are destroyed by just seeing the Trilochan Linga or by reciting the words Trilochan-Trilochan. All the sins committed by man knowingly or unknowingly at any place are destroyed by attaining salvation in Kashi and similarly if the sins are committed in Kashi, they are destroyed by worshiping Trilochan Linga. The confluence of all the three rivers mentioned above is famous as Pilpila Tirtha. It is such a belief that there is a great virtuous significance of worshiping Trilochan Mahadev after bathing in Pilpila Tirtha. Worshiping Trilochan Mahadev on every Ashtami and Chaturdashi is very fruitful. By observing a fast on the third day of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month, ""Akshaya Tritiya"" and performing Shraddha for the sake of our ancestors, we get the blessings of the ancestors and the grace of God remains. There is a description of Yadodak well located near Pilpila Tirtha in Kashi Khand. This well is located in the Trilochan temple. The poddak follicle is completely covered. A hand pump is installed in the well from which water is extracted for use. In the evening of Akshaya Tritiya, Trilochan Linga's Jal Vihar is decorated. Devotees can take advantage of seeing this tableau.
