Pilpila Tirtha mentioned in Kashi Khand is an important pilgrimage. This pilgrimage must have been a huge pilgrimage during the creation of Kashi Khand, but at present it is in the form of a well. On the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, there is a great importance of going here and bathing with the water of Pilpila well. According to religious belief, there is a huge crowd of bathers on Akshaya Tritiya. On Akshaya Tritiya one must take bath in Pilpila Tirth and worship Trilochneshwar Linga, Badrinarayan Vishnu and Madhusudan Vishnu. It is only on Akshaya Tritiya that the portals of Badrinarayan of the Char Dham outside Kashi are opened, so one must have darshan of Badrinarayan, that is Lord Badrinarayan Vishnu, here too.
